Meet the Founder
Naja Bagner — Founder and Sickle Cell Warrior
“I created the type of comfort bag I once wished someone had given me.”
— Naja Bagner
My name is Naja Bagner, and I am from Toledo, Ohio. I was diagnosed with sickle cell disease at birth. Throughout my life, I have experienced the pain, hospital stays, uncertainty, and emotional challenges that can come with this lifelong condition.
Growing up, treatment options and support for people living with sickle cell disease were more limited than they are today. During hospital stays and pain crises, I often wished I had simple items that could provide warmth, comfort, and encouragement.
Those personal experiences inspired me to create Naja Comfort Bags. I understand how meaningful it can be to receive something that says, “You are seen, you are supported, and you are not alone.”
